Getting here

Four ways, and how long each takes

Fly to Milos

Athens to Milos is thirty-five minutes on a small propeller aircraft, twice a day in summer. The airport is a single room.

25 min to the house

The fast ferry

Piraeus to Adamas in about three hours. Books out three weeks ahead in August, and is cancelled in a strong meltemi.

20 min to the house

The slow ferry

Five to seven hours, runs whatever the weather is doing, and is the one to take if you are bringing a car.

20 min to the house

From another island

Daily to Sifnos and Serifos, most days to Santorini and Folegandros. Ask us before you book the return; the timetable changes in September.

The path and steps down towards the water

The last kilometre

The road stops forty steps above the house

There is no road down to us. Cars stop at the top of the village, where there is parking for nine, and the rest is forty steps and a path. We carry the bags; that is not a formality, we actually do.

If steps are a problem, say so when you book. Two of the rooms are level with the terrace, and Stelios can bring the car down the service track for arrival and departure.
