This is not a boat trip with fishing on it. It is a working night: lamps, nets, four hours of quiet, and a fair chance of catching nothing at all. People either love it or ask to come back early, and both are fine.
Whatever comes up goes to the kitchen and is on the table at breakfast. If nothing comes up, breakfast is eggs and the story is better.
