Fournos
34 m², own terrace, the old bread oven, sleeps 2
From €280
per night, breakfast included

The village oven was against this wall for eighty years, and the stone on that side is still a degree warmer than the rest.
The oven itself is gone — taken out in the sixties, when the bakery moved down to Plaka — but the flue is still in the wall and the niche where the peels were kept is now a bookshelf. The room sits between the courtyard and the second terrace, with a door to each.
Its terrace is small, faces west, and catches the last hour of sun. We put two chairs there and nothing else, because there is not room for anything else.
- Double bed, linen from Naxos
- Private terrace, evening sun
- Two doors, courtyard and terrace
- Walk-in shower, no bath
- Air conditioning and a ceiling fan
- The old bread niche, now a shelf
